The program is designed to provide comprehensible, contextual input, so that a non-native speaker may easily follow along. ~Tviso: Find your favorite movies/TV shows, and watch them in Spanish! Having watched them before in English will help you to understand the Spanish audio. In addition, you can watch some in English, with Spanish subtitles. March 10, 2016: Donors Choose Project #3
Our third project has been fully funded, all thanks to Russell Simmons! Now, we will soon receive magazines for the Middle School scholars to learn new vocabulary and concepts in a contextual, interesting manner that also exposes them to worldwide happenings. Our second project has been fully funded! Now, our K-8 scholars will have some of the basic materials needed to succeed in class, and our room will have some basic Spanish Class decorations to start filling our room with when we move into the new classroom. December 9, 2015: EDpuzzle
I am pleased to announce that the scholars will begin to receive EDpuzzle assignments again! This will be a fun way to practice content and concepts learned in class, and will be counted as homework assignments. November 24, 2015: Latin American Experience
Our first graders attended Riverton's very first Spanish Field Trip! Some of our scholars were selected to join the performance on stage! October 6, 2015: Donors Choose Project #1
Our first project has been fully funded! Now, our K-8 scholars will have the opportunity to benefit from story time during class, with books in the target language that align with the lessons at hand.
