What sorts of evidence do researchers look for when trying to determine if two or more people have the same disease?
Does the presence of a microorganism in a sick person mean that microorganism is the cause of the disease?
Why or why not? Explain your thinking as fully as possible.
After the observation of a microorganism in a sick person, why is it useful to obtain a pure culture of that organism to determine if it is the cause of the disease?
