Harlem DNA Lab - October 2015

The students of University of Cambridge went to the Harlem DNA Lab to perform a DNA transformation lab. They used micro-pipettes and microtubes to put E. Coli in Calcium Chloride. Then they were able to give the bacteria some DNA called GFP (Green Flourescent Protein) which allowed it to glow under a black light.
Using a black light, we were able to observe the E. Coli bacteria that was given the pGFP (Green Fluorescent Protein) DNA.
