Eggs for breakfast:
1. Observe the surface of a chicken egg.
Then gently crack the egg in a bowl. Do not break the yolk
2. Note the membrane attached to the inside of the shell. Then look at the blunt end of the egg. What do you see?
3. Fill one part of the egg shell with water. What do you observe?
4. Find the egg yolk. What is its function?
5. Look for a small white or red spot on the yolk. This marks the spot where the embryo would develop if the egg had been fertilized.
6. Wash your hands with soap.
After all observation and questions complete.
7. Draw a labeled diagram of the egg that names each structure and describe its function.
Place this assignment in your notebooks!!
